Beko A&NZ Pty Ltd has entered into an undertaking with the Department of the Environment and Energy which includes our acknowledgement that the Beko refrigerator model GN162320X has been found to exceed the declared annual energy consumption of 537kWh/annum by 44.2kWh/annum and that we will undertake certain action to rectify this situation.

The effect of the non-compliance is that the refrigerator may use more electricity than would be the case if the product complied with the rated values stated on the energy efficiency label and complied with the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Household Refrigerating Appliances) Determination 2012.

Beko A&NZ Pty Ltd has undertaken to provide purchasers of the Beko refrigerator model GN162320X with a one-off compensation rebate of A$127 (NZ$142) which is based on an estimate of the potential difference in operating costs that may be experienced in respect of the product over the course of its life.

Therefore, if you have purchased a Beko GN162320X Refrigerator then please follow the simple steps outlined below:

The Australian Department of the Environment and Energy has determined this figure based on a 12.5 year operating life and the weighted average cost of electricity across all Australian states. The NZD amount is based on an exchange rate of 1.12 NZD:AUD.
